Feminine Differential Ballet Flats (maybe not)

The Best Ballet Flats for Men

From the Ballet Flats for Men site:

I thought I might take some time to rank order some of the ballet flats that are out there and that I think make great options for men. If you are a guy who is considering trying out ballet flats for the first time or if you already wear flats but are looking for something different, hopefully this post will help. I own many of these flats and have at least tried on many others. This list includes a few that I think will also work but I have not yet had the chance to try them on.

My main criteria in developing this list, in order of priority, are as follows:

Comfort – guys really are more about having shoes that are comfortable.
Style – needs to have smooth, clean lines with a unisex look.
Sizing – needs to be available in larger sizes for men.
Price – when it comes to ballet flats, you usually get what you pay for, but it still needs to be reasonable.

Read More and see a good list to start.

Conclusion

[The site] is not an exhaustive list of possible ballet flat options for men. In fact, I have several others in my closet that I have not even mentioned here. I welcome others to post their favorites in the remarks to this blog page. In the future, I will start writing more extensive reviews of some of the flats that I own.

My Note: I have ordered a pair of the Amazon Essentials ($22.10) in wide. Amazon has over 83,000 reviews and some appear to be from men. I have several pairs of Tory Ballet Flats and other brands. I do not wear them regularly because I have never been one-hundred percent happy with the width. I am looking for an everyday pair of flats, to wear with jeans and be a dressy alternative to sneakers.

After receiving the Amazon Essentials Flats, it is love at first wearing. They are
comfortable and practical. I am going to wear these for a few days and see how they work. Maybe, a not-so "feminine differential" after all.

See my post "Feminine Differential - Ballet Flats Revisit" from 2020 and my Guest Post "I LOVE ballet flats" By Brian

Do you have any ballet flats that you wear on a regular basis? Any reactions?  A feminine differential - Maybe not.  Let's start a trend!

  1. I bought a pair of It's OK flats with a covered 1 in heel a couple years ago in size 14. They are my go to everyday shoe anymore. They're the only piece of feminine clothing that my wife will "allow" me to wear in her presence. I thought their acceptance would open the door for more feminine clothing, but not yet. Unfortunately they're starting to show wear around the heel and I can't find another pair anywhere on-line. Randi

    1. Hi Randi, The Amazon shoes in the post run to 15w. I love there and are comfortable for me. A very reasonable price.

Thanks for your support and comments.

  2. I have a pair of not quite flats with a 1" wedge heel that I wear mainly around the house. Very comfortable and are my footwear of choice. Only problem is they are falling apart and will need to be replaced. I once forgot I had them on and went to the supermarket wearing them. Didn't realise till I arrived home.
I wonder if anybody noticed and if they cared.
    Cheers Pamela
