Update: Rob Reiner and his son Nick Reiner got into a "big fight" at a Christmas party hosted by Conan O'Brien on Saturday night, a source tells PEOPLE 

Nick was later arrested and charged with murder.

HuffPost:  ...The couple was known for their political advocacy as well, particularly in support of LGBTQ rights and early childhood development. They also co-founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights, which successfully launched a court challenge against a California ballot initiative that sought to bar same-sex marriage.

In 2006, Rob weighed a run for California governor against Arnold Schwarzenegger; however, he ultimately decided against it, noting that he planned to focus on his family. In recent years, Rob has been an outspoken critic of Trump, whom he’s described as the “single most unqualified human being to ever assume the presidency of the United States.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and his partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom expressed their condolences in a statement on Sunday night.

Rob was the big-hearted genius behind so many of the classic stories we love,” they stated. “That empathy extended well beyond his films. Rob was a passionate advocate for children and for civil rights — from taking on Big Tobacco to fighting for marriage equality to serving as a powerful voice in early education.”

I love blending in; being accepted as part of the majority gender order. And, I have learned that it does not take a lot. It is a sum of the components with a delegate dance of not exaggerating nor underplaying. When you are addressed as ma'am the effort is successful. Remember that your confident attitude reenforces your appearance; "of course I am".

I addressed this issue recently with an old friend describing what I do, as playing on the gender line / continuum. There are days when I may be center oriented; let the observer determine what they may. Then there are times I am all feminine utilizing as many "feminine differentials" as I like.  i.e. skirts, dresses, jewelry, heels, makeup. 

Females play this on this continuum daily. Why not us?

Being transgender is not the curse that some may assume. Especially when you enjoy the process of the redirection you are creating. That is where "living your life to the full comes in". Why not be yourself or the self of the day? The moments can be priceless (no Master Card required). Enduring memories are crafted to be remembered for decades. Take advantage of opportunities, or better yet make opportunities. Showcase your ability and variability to be the gender /self  you choose.
