| Meet Emily |
I do not update my Favorite Sites often. However, I found an exquisite boutique recently that is worth your attention. The site/store is "Alice Walk". It is both online and store fronts, locate on 18B Federal Street, Nantucket, MA and 533 E. Hopkins Ave, Aspen, CO. It's online site is Alicewalk.com.
There are many absolutely beautiful, unique outfits on the site worn by beautiful real life models. Be sure to check it out.
Here is more information about Emily and her store/site:
_____________
I created "Alice Walk" for women who, like me, are seeking timeless design, beautiful fabrics, and a highly curated shopping experience. Early in my career working in finance in NYC, I was frustrated by cluttered department stores and the volume of uninspired, poorly-made clothing - and knew there was a better approach.
I’m proud of the brand our all-female team has built – one that consistently stands behind a commitment to quality, timelessness and customer service.”
"Alice Walk" first began as a custom clothing concept. We partnered with small, family-owned textile mills in Europe to source one-of-a-kind fabrics and built an in-house production team that created each garment by hand right in our Boston studio.

"Alice Walk" was a place before it was a brand - but not just any place. Our founder, Emily Keneally, grew up and was later married on Alice Walk, a small seaside path in historic Hingham, Massachusetts. Endlessly inspired by the charm of the New England coast, the quiet elegance and timeless spirit of Alice Walk is infused into every thread of our story.
My note: "I so hope to visit soon..."
There are also "pop-up" events coming in Long Island, Philadelphia, and Hobe Sound (FL). Be sure to checkout her on-line collection and look for the pop-up locations.
Chic Cutouts: Modern Sophistication for Effortless Elegance
Minimal elegance meets modern allure. A ribbed off-white top with chic cutouts pairs fabulously with high-waisted, wide-legged trousers in a creamy beige. That structured tote adds texture, while the gold jewelry echoes timeless sophistication. Open-toe heels elevate the look, bringing a breezy yet polished vibe. Perfect for a city rooftop drink or art gallery visit, it’s a fit for the truly style-savvy.
Minimalist style does not mean boring. It does not mean unfinished. And it definitely does not mean you have to choose between looking effortless and looking polished. The secret that every woman with genuinely great style already knows is this: the right accessories do not just add to a minimalist outfit — they complete it.
A wide leather belt, a silk scarf, a pair of oversized sunglasses, layered gold necklaces, or a perfectly chosen structured bag can transform a simple white tee and straight-leg jeans into an outfit that looks entirely considered. The clothing stays clean and calm. The accessories carry the personality. That is the formula.
#3 Crisp Shirt and Straight Jeans
A slightly relaxed white button-down shirt tucked into straight-leg blue jeans is the most foundational casual-minimalist outfit in existence. The beauty of this combination is how personal it becomes through accessorizing. Two accessories make the biggest difference here: a medium-brown leather belt that creates waist definition and visual warmth against the blue denim, and a quality watch that adds instant personality and polish to the wrist. Together, these two understated pieces transform a basic outfit into a quietly considered one.The straight-leg jean and classic shirt works universally — it is one of the most reliably flattering combinations in casual minimalist dressing. The half-tuck works beautifully for pear shapes to create balance between top and bottom. Over-accessorizing this outfit. Its power is in its simplicity. More than two or three accessories — belt, watch, and perhaps simple bracelets — starts to undermine the effortless quality that makes it work. Medium-brown leather belt (creates warmth and waist definition), quality minimalist watch (adds personality), small gold or silver bracelets.
Complete the look: Leather loafers in brown or tan, a slim leather crossbody bag, and clean, unfussy styling.
Being decisive means having the ability to make firm, confident choices without unnecessary hesitation. It also describes actions or moments that are conclusive, settling a controversy or determining a final desired outcome.
Life does not have enough time for us to say "Someday I will give it a try". Be it, go to the mall and shop. Be it, get out to a nice restaurant. Be it, go for a walk at the outdoor plaza. Be it (you fill in the blank)...
You do know what you like. It is being a girl part-time or fulltime. 'Do it or do not - There is no (someday) I will try.'
Made me smile.
Not exactly the song's theme but makes for a interesting concept for us... Enjoy.
No, this is not a rock band tribute of the groups that reigned 1983 - 1991. It is about my 2-3 year process of growing my hair. Please don't hate me because male-pattern-baldness is not part of my genes; luck of the genetic pool.
About ten years ago my hairdresser that cuts my hair and did my wigs mentioned; "Let's grow your hair out. You have plenty and it is a beautiful white." I did, first tiredly having it just long enough to style and also be male. A short "bob" cut. I was still working / traveling and doing software product training.
I am not quite sure of the motivation other than the obvious, I just started letting it grow long. With my hairdresser's help and the occasional layer cut / trim, I am still letting it grow. My concern about the possibility of thinning and bald spot never materialized. The wigs have all been tossed and I have never looked back. No more hiding in plain sight. What you see is what you get.
A high or low ponytail is mostly my daily look depending on circumstances. The high ponytail is thick and about twelve (12) inches long and brushes the back of my neck. If I let my hair down the length is about 16 inches down my back and comes around beautifully in front. The photo above show a darker length of my hair below the hair piece. My banner photo shows my hair pulled back with a high ponytail you cannot see.
I find long hair easy to manage. Mostly a comb out or ponytail only takes a few minutes. Shorted hair required rollers and styling after washing. Now I air dry and comb out. As I go out, a little hairspray to keep stray pieces from dropping into my eyes..

Although a hair piece is not necessary it is so much fun to play with. I have several. I was setting behind a beautiful blond at a Christmas concert last year and was in awe of her messy -bun. I just loved it and am sure her bun was natural. I lack the talent to style my natural hair into a bun like that so clip-ins are so easy.
If possible, shed the wig and go with you own hair. It takes a while to grow, but so worth it.

| Love the look |
There is something timeless about a crisp white linen button-down shirt paired with high-waisted denim shorts. The shirt feels breathable against the skin while the relaxed fit skims the body without clinging, and the shorts offer a modest length that hits just above the knee. Roll the sleeves once or twice and leave a few buttons open at the neck for that easy, undone vacation energy. A tan leather belt cinches the waist and creates a clean visual break between the two pieces. Flat beige sandals keep the outfit grounded and walkable, while a woven basket tote with a colorful scarf tied around the handle adds personality without extra effort. This is the kind of look that transitions seamlessly from a morning coffee run to an afternoon of sightseeing, looking intentional yet never over-styled.

Here is a really good way to wear shorts. I have two pairs on denim shorts and two pairs of white. I have worn both with t-shirts and see the above to be a classic look. If you have the legs, then why not!
Flats rule! Most any color sandals and wedges would work. Just stay away from super high heels. That would be dressing for a whole different audience.
Not just for vacation - Any escape will do!
