Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people. It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the disproportionate levels of poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces compared to cisgender (non-transgender) people.

International TDOV was created in 2010 by trans advocate Rachel Crandall. Crandall, the head of Transgender Michigan, created TDOV in response to the overwhelming majority of media stories about transgender people being focused on violence. She hoped to create a day where people could celebrate the lives of transgender people, while simultaneously acknowledging that due to discrimination, not every trans person can or wants to be visible.

I will not get any sympathy from those of you that are suffering a  "Real Winter" with sub teens and blinding snow. For Florida we "pretend" by getting out our sweaters, jeans, shorts and ballet flats. Jeans for the morning and shorts for later in the day?  What no boots?

I have beautiful sweaters and love the feminine differential of a chunky, big sweater.  Especially ones that shown a little shoulder and is long enough to be worn with tights. I have this Amazon sweater, "Oversized Sweaters for Women Trendy Chunky Batwing Long Sleeve Casual Crewneck Ribbed Pullover Tunic Sweater" ordered for this week's cooldown. It is cheap enough at $34.99 and does come in other colors. The color chosen is kaki.

Caught...

One of the recurring experiences related at support group meeting is "Being Caught".  Some not so memorable from a good prospective others just part of the growing up transgender experience. 

The most absolute truth of being "Caught", is it's inevitability.  Either mother, girlfriend, or wife.  

Did my grandmother know?  Maybe, although I cannot say for sure.  She did see me all girl complete once when a girlfriend dressed me for a school turn-around pageant. I wore her prom dress, heels and had full makeup. My grandmother's reaction was neutral. Although I think she realizing more than she gave up.      

We all though we are so clever back then. I kept track of exact locations of closet items so to put then back. My mother's shoes were my favorite playground and being able to walk in heels was a mastered talent, early on. My mother loved shoes and had many.

Merry Christmas '25 - For Old Time's Sake

 

2025 Music Ministry Christmas Concert

A few weeks ago, This was the Christmas Concert I attend with my former VCU college roommate. A roadtrip to Charlotte NC. More detail on the visit will be forthcoming. However, let me say it was a wonderful weekend that ended Sunday evening with this concert. Please, wait and get through the organ solo for some of the most beautiful Holiday music ever.  My roommate was part of the choir.  

Childhood memories of this Christmas Music with my grandmother were so with me that evening. We attended a country Methodist Church and the music took me back over 70 years. More than once the sheer magic of the music took to tears. I am so grateful for the love and acceptance shown me that weekend.

The concluding song "Auld Lang Syne" (from Scots language) literally means "old long since," but translates to "old times," "days gone by," or "for old time's sake".

That song epitomized the weekend.  "For old times sake" we shared collective memories that deserved remembering. People that deserve remembering and stories about my grandmother, I did not know. My weekend with Larry was more than just talking, which we did plenty of, but validation of the spirit of collective memories, good times, friendship and love from by gone times.  

"Auld Lang Syne" brought tears of joy and remembering. Thank you Larry and Remona for sharing. An unforgettable weekend capped with wonderful music.

Cross Dressing Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas,

and all thru the house...

I was making my plans to look more like my spouse

I carefully laid out my very best clothes

My bra and my panties, my slip and my hose

My stockings weren't hung by the chimney tonite

They were on me instead, feeling sensually tight

My dress was of velvet, a burgundy red

And on my long nails a new polish was spread

With makeup and jewelry, high heels on my feet

I was looking so sexy, and feeling so sweet

When out in the yard there arose such a noise

That I sprang from my bedroom, forgetting my poise

The moon on the snow with it's brilliant white glitter

Reminds me of lace, to set my heart a-twitter

When what to my long-lashed eyes should appear

But a person in red with a sleigh and reindeer

But I couldn't tell, was it a 'he' or a 'she'

The one with the pack was dressed somewhat like me

There in the sleigh was this crusty old flirt

With a white wig and makeup, a red blouse and skirt

The reindeer were sparkling, with rhinestones and pearls

And their antlers in ribbons, so they all looked like girls

When s/he stepped from the sleigh, to my eyes were revealed

Her knee-hi black boots with their seven-inch heels

Santa just blushed, but I stood there and smiled

And said, "Hello, my dear, can you stay for awhile?"

"Well you finally caught me", he said with a pout

"At this time on Christmas, folks are seldom about."

"I don't go enfemme very often at home,

Mrs Clause doesn't like it, so I do it alone.

"So when I give out goodies to make others smile

"I like to feel pretty and femme for awhile."

"So I ride off dressed up, from my hi-heels to wig,

"On Christmas eve night while I'm doing my gig."

I said, "Don't worry Santa, your secret is safe

Why don't you come in and just freshen your face."

We sat and we talked and vented our passion

For feminine frills and the latest new fashions

We finally parted with a hug and a kiss

She said, "I must go now, or some children I'll miss"

I went to my party and had a great time

With music and laughter and good food and wine

But when I returned and looked under my tree

I found some new pretties from sweet Santa to me

Lacy panties, a bra and a soft satin blouse

Perfumes and some candles to light up my house

But it wasn't the goodies that swept away my blues

It was knowing that Santa was a cross dresser too

So next time don't judge all the people you meet

However, it also makes it clear that the targets of such domestic terrorist investigations will be “Antifa-aligned extremists,” including those promoting “radical gender ideology.”

Should I be worried? After my brush up a few week back with Google's AI content bot, I am!  Maybe we need to stand up, be visible or our beloved Fictionmania, Femulate, T-Central, Diana’s Little Corner, ... will be designated as "radical gender ideology".  Freedom of speech and expression be dammed.  

After all of our blogs and transgender information has been removed, be warned that your viewing history / cookies will be fair game next. The "Gender Police" will come for the readers/causal observers next. It will be easy. If you think that your information is private or exist on your computer only, search a subject and see how many times you are subjected to more information on that subject. Even on other computers.  

This is what authoritarian regimes do; seek total control, by fear, over every aspect of life to possess a single, all-encompassing ideology. Their ideology!  Yes, history repeating...   

I am becoming more angry with those who voted this madman and his minions into office that might still support him.

Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social Sunday evening concerning the deaths:

A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS."

Maybe this will be the watershed moment that all will see Trump's madness and own grandiose DERANGEMENT.

I love blending in; being accepted as part of the majority gender order. And, I have learned that it does not take a lot. It is a sum of the components with a delegate dance of not exaggerating nor underplaying. When you are addressed as ma'am the effort is successful. Remember that your confident attitude reenforces your appearance; "of course I am".

I addressed this issue recently with an old friend describing what I do, as playing on the gender line / continuum. There are days when I may be center oriented; let the observer determine what they may. Then there are times I am all feminine utilizing as many "feminine differentials" as I like.  i.e. skirts, dresses, jewelry, heels, makeup. 

Females play this on this continuum daily. Why not us?

Being transgender is not the curse that some may assume. Especially when you enjoy the process of the redirection you are creating. That is where "living your life to the full comes in". Why not be yourself or the self of the day? The moments can be priceless (no Master Card required). Enduring memories are crafted to be remembered for decades. Take advantage of opportunities, or better yet make opportunities. Showcase your ability and variability to be the gender /self  you choose.

I am going to take this to a literal sense of being "PantyWAIST is the elastic band around a woman's underclothes".  So being pantywaisted could refer to the wearing or aspiring to wear female underwear; effeminate in underclothing dress. 

So it is official: One could speak of me as "panty waisted" in that I could not find one pair or male underclothing this morning. So-be-it.

The Dynamics are Different - Yet The Same

Road Trip

What if you could step into a time machine and revisit 60 years ago? 

What would it be like seeing your college roommate after almost 60 years? I am about to find out. We were roommates throughout my engineering school term and got along well; like the brother I never had. He was from Pennsylvania and I from a smalltown about an hour-and-a-half from campus. Our campus was never a hot bed of activity on the weekends, so on many weekends he tagged along for home cooking. My grandmother was a great cook and loved having us. The summer of '67 we did a road trip and attended The Worlds Fair Expo in Montreal.

We had fun together and had a group of fellow engineering students to do stuff with on campus during the week. Kind of a work hard / study hard / let's get a beer group.  

After graduation, careers and family seem to get in the way. However, we did stay close, checking in always with the promise to get together.  

This weekend we are!

I will be attending his church X'mas holiday music event Sunday and staying over with he and his wife for the weekend. The plan now is to drive back Monday or Tuesday. I did the big “Rhonda reveal" by e-mail / blog and he stated no-problem. This is an area we had never explored or discussed.

Although, while in college I did participate in a fashion/beauty contest done up beautifully by my then girlfriend, to become wife. My first time dressed in public. WOW! Many years passed before I was ever out again.     

This should be an interesting weekend. We are not getting younger. If one waits putting off reminiscing, the conversation could become one-sided. 

This weekend - The dynamics are so different yet so the same.

Breaking The Spell...

 

My least favorite part of any "Escape" evening is changing back. I call it "Breaking the spell". Either it is late or I had appointments to make as male. I hated that return to reality and the moment the illusion ends. All goes well including kicking the shoes off at the door to unzipping the dress and  letting it fall in a puddle. Looking at my self in bra and panties, I always hated the next step to come.  

Back then I wore a wig and taking that one item off would break the feminine spell. The image staring back at me in the mirror was not the same any longer.  

Disappointingly everything gets delicately folded for next escape. My feminine mystique was now relegated to the "Rhonda" travel box.   

Even today with no wig to take off, my moment is cleaning my face. I do love it when there are traces of eyeline or tined lips remaining. She is still there! Do you think anyone will notice?  Liberation - Today, "I don't care".
