What to Wear to Polo?
I have an amazing invitation to attend and be part of the "International Polo Museum and Hall of Fame" booth at the Sunday Wellington Polo Games. The Museum is a new client that is using my Non-profit Software. I attended their Annual Gala in February and had a super fun time sipping champaign, having dinner and sitting at a table with several real polo players. Well, one was a parttime player with a day job of selling / renting yachts. More on my red long dress / off shoulder gown on my Facebook page.
So the big question for this Sunday's event - "What to Wear"?
The Palm Beaches magazine gives this suggestion:
We encourage you to wear your “Sunday best” to polo matches at IPC. If you’re a lady, a sundress or crisp white pants and a printed top are typical. Wedges or sandals are great choices for footwear, since you may be walking across the grass field. And sunglasses and hats are essential for looking chic while keeping you comfortable in the sun. Get into the spirit of the Wellington atmosphere and sprinkle in equestrian accessories like horse-bit earrings or a printed carousel cashmere scarf by Rani Arabella.
To add to the answerer, I found a YouTube. The video below helped and will provide you a preview of the venue. This is my first time at this Polo Park.

ReplyDeleteHmmmm, I would think one would wear Polo Ralph Lauren or a Polo shirt to such an event, lol.
ReplyDeleteNo, it all looks to be much similar to a horse race, and looking at the video, I think the smashing outfit you are considering will fit right in.
Such a nice invitation, and looks like a fun event. Enjoy it and do provide pictures and an account afterward!
