Fashion - Sixty + Me

BY SUSAN "HONEY" GOOD : Be Inspired to Live Your Life to the Fullest

My Note:  There is is a great post by Susan Good on her Sixty + Me Blog.  Many article of this type are written for women in "age" transition, not unlike us also in transition.

The important factor for us to understand is that many of us are truly women in nature.  What applies to women applies to us. We need to stop with all the labels; you know the ones, and accept our reality.  Many of the labels distance us from the life we live or the live we want to live.  These labile have become politicizing and to accept a marginalized category only plays into their "got you" stigmatizing us.

By us accepting that we are "Women" or "Feminine men" the we have accept that label have no power over us.  As Pop Eye said it best "I am what I am". Bullies love to call marginalized groups by name calling. it reinforces their perceived superiority just as the "N" word keep an enslaved population down.

Transgender has become the "T" work of the day.  The ACLU is tracking 494 anti-LGBTQ bills in the U.S. all targeted to the "T" community.  According to the Pew Institute about 5% of young adults in the U.S. say their gender is different from their sex assigned at birth with the actual number identifying as transgender being less.

Transgender has become a "Dog whistle" for the conservative right. denoting politically correct (woke)  gone  astray.  Is not putting down a person who want to become / be known or be seen / know as s a woman putting down women.  Is being a women a bad thing?  Feminine men have been around for centuries in all cultures.  If being / becoming a woman is too much for you to accept then accept the fact that you are a "feminine man".

Bullies use name calling to make you less human and justify their punitive actions.  By accepting who / what we are then we force the masked prejudice and bigotry to the surface.
