Feminine Differential - What boots to wear with a tunic dress?

Aug 07, 2020

Amazon Boots

My Note:  The leggings /Jeggings look is quickly becoming one of my favorite feminine styles. My everyday, wear to work look, is black legging over a long black or white top / sweater extending past my bottom. Our dress code require black and white mixed or all one color. The tight fit of the leggings, remind me  of panty hose, (remember those), feel great and are certainly a feminine differential.

Boots have been my nemesis for many years.  Finding boots that work with my lower leg (below the knee) are always purchases when a return option is available.  I have returned many that could not be zipped or just not allow my foot entry with my high instep. I so want to try boots with leggings and may have found a solution on Amazon. (Mysoft Women's Knee High Boots Chunky Heel Boots with Zipper).    A very reasonable price and the reviews are positive. I will keep you posted with photos if they work.

Today delivery note:  For the price beautiful boots. Foot, although tight, worked because zipper started at the floor of the heel; easy on.  However, after much effort and tugging the zipper would not zip to the top. It was close with only about 1 1/2 inches to go over the naked calf. Disappointed - Another return.

Tunics are such type of clothing that is really versatile and it can be worn in combination with almost anything and still look good. But so are shoes too. A pair of shoes can really brighten or completely sabotage our outfit depending on the design we are going to choose. To avoid spoiling our look we should pick our shoes carefully.

When it comes to mixing styles with boots and tunics our options are endless. Boots are perfect for layering with a tunic dress. They look great when combined with stylish jeggings.

  1. Great post Rhonda!
A tunic sweater, or sweater dress with fleece lined tights is becoming one of my favorite outfits too! It opens up a lot of possibilities as a sweater dress that might be too short for my age looks great this was as a long tunic. They are soooo comfortable for traveling and look right cute for going out to lunch or a trip to the store.
A good pair of knee high black boots should be in every women's closet, and they look smashing with almost anything. They all but replace heels for me this time of year.
