Jimmy Buffett, the legendary "Margaritaville" singer-songwriter, has died at age 76
Palm Beach Post: The man often associated with Hawaiin T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops enjoyed living part-time in Palm Beach, one of the most exclusive area codes in the country and home to mega-billionaires and mega-celebrities, such as former President Donald Trump.
Buffett's involvement in South Florida included being a board member of the Everglades Foundation and a regular fixture at a number of annual charity fundraisers in Palm Beach.
My Note: I personally ran into him more than once at a Palm Beach restaurant and walking around in downtown West Palm Beach. No big crowd around him, and looked like a regular guy. His music will live on...
