If you are one of music’s most revered divas, it is a most stylish way to say farewell; both grand and utterly individual.

Too bad coverage of her funeral was minimized by the hoopla around the McCain services. Somewhat like everyone forgot that Farrah Fawcett died when the death of Michael Jackson followed hers by a few hours.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure that proper respect was paid to Aretha by pairing Bill Clinton with Louis Farrakhan at her services.

DeleteThere were many wonderful aspects to Aretha's memorial (it lasted 8 hours!) but unfortunately there was that unfortunate business where a preacher (!) groped Ariana Grande and another preacher who was there to eulogize Aretha turned it into a political statement which upset Aretha's family.
