Catch Of the Day - Spring Leggings/Jeggings

LYSSE High Waist Skinny Denim Leggings/Jeggings

Deborah, at Fabulous After 40, featured these LYSSE High Waist Skinny Denim Leggings/Jeggings. I was looking at another site a few days ago and it mentioned that skinny pants/jeans provide a marked feminine look; "To Be More Feminine Wear Clothes That Fit Your Body."  Good suggestion.

LYSSE further describes: These waist-to-ankle leggings bring all-day resiliency as they sculpt and slim. No wonder the Denim Legging is among our hottest sellers. Flow from soccer game to grocery store, to girls shopping adventure, in these wardrobe must-haves.

As Deborah stated "A little thicker like jeans, (so more opaque),  but still stretchy like leggings." I personally like the high rise fit which provides no waist-line rolls. There is a 4 1/2 inch waist band.  Note of caution: Please, for modesty, always wear a longer top that falls at or below hip. Enough said!

These are sold out on Deborah's Nordstrom link, however they are available directly from LYSSE.  I also found them in denim "Mid Wash" at Nordstrom Rack at a great final sale price of $15.60.

Which brings up an interesting question: What is the difference between jeggings and leggings?

LYSSE
  • Leggings are tight pants which are generally made of cotton, lycra or spandex. Leggings are simple in nature. They might come in different colours and patterns though.
  • Jeggings originated from jeans. Thus, the material of jeggings mimics jeans. They have a look similar to jeans with sometimes pockets and loops.

The purse is Cole Haan, Loralie Leather Bucket Hobo from 2018 - "Durable pebble leather, bold whipstitch detail, beautiful bridal strap with brass finished roller buckles."  It is large and will hold a lot. It is a spring/summer investment item from over two years ago. A great summer bag that will never go out of style.

This bag and the top were part of my Cruise Wear Collection for the 2019 trip.
