It Was A Dark and Stormy Night!

Really it was! 

 

A happy evening with a friend.

On my last trip to Virginia, I had made plans for dinner with friends in my country hometown. There is one restaurant with noted chefs and the food is a combination of local and international. It is an unexpected found treasure and when in town, I always make an effort to dine at the Molasses Grill in Halifax Virginia. 

My last night in Virginia brought the remnants of hurricane Ian to the mid-atlantic region. As my friend MJ stated, "I like you a lot to go out tonight". We did have a great time and made it into the restaurant and out, between torrential rain storms.    

I clipped the above un-contributed quote from MJ's Facebook page and thought it so appropriate for those of us of a certain age.  MJ and I had dinner and talked, giggled and enjoyed catching up for almost three hours.  Always fun!
