Leggings - The Experiment Part 2

Part 1 Here

Because of my employee discount at Soma's sister store, Chico's, I am continuing my legging experiment. The "ZENERGY SO SLIMMING Swirl-Print Pocket Leggings" leggings above, I believe, they are marketed to be workout/yoga pants. However, they are so slimming to the leg and are very high rise with a built-in "So Slimming Panel" providing amazing support for the tummy; 22% spandex.

I choose a similar tunic to the one above.  "ZENERGY Sandwashed Tunic" also in pink  (STRAWBERRY BLUSH). I was worried about the combination looking like pajamas but the pants are a little darker than shown and the top does have shape that drapes beautifully in a feminine way.

Now, what shoes?  It seems the choices are endless after the obvious workout shoes. Myself and many of us love heels, so could this work? The Trend Spotter site stated this:

Think heels don’t work with leggings? Think again. Pumps can actually partner perfectly with leggings for a stylish look. The key to making the outfit work is to strike a balance. As leggings and heels make your bottom half appear long and lean, try offsetting them with something looser on top. In particular, a long shirt that finishes at the top of your thighs can work fabulously with leggings and heels. You can also add a loose sweater or chunky jacket over the top if the weather’s cold. [great suggestion]

I am always looking for the perfect "blend in" outfit; the one you see everyone wearing at the mall and market.  I don't see this is an event outfit or one to wear to happy hour.  My comfort level is just not there and not sure it is a best choice.

Several opportunities may avail themselves My beach house has a fitness room just a few steps away from the new pool. So, that may be my first "see how this works "test run".  Also during the fall and winter here in Florida we have Saturday Morning Framer's Markets. All are outdoor events. A definite maybe?  Stay tuned...
